Fairfield Park Lower School were inspected by Ofsted in May 2012 and ranked by Ofsted as an Outstanding school.

The school has to report to the Local Authority and Ofsted at different milestones: the end of the Reception year (Foundation), end of year 1 (phonics data only), end of 2 year (Key Stage 1) and the end of year 4 (exit entry of the school). The other reportable stage is at the end of year 6, the end of KS2, as it is the end of the National Curriculum document for KS2, this is obviously not reportable in the Lower school but in the Middle school.
