Fairfield Park Lower School

Head's Welcome

Welcome

I am enormously proud to be Head Teacher of Fairfield Park Lower School. We have successfully opened a new campus in 2018 and are now operating across Dickens Boulevard and Ruskin Drive, offering more school places in our local community. Both are stunning assets and offering teaching and learning stability in a time of educational change. I have a team of dedicated and caring staff and governors who are committed to nurturing a strong relationship between staff, children and their families. All parties are passionate that this ethos and pride is sustained over both sites as we grow into our new site on Ruskin Drive. We have a strong pastoral team and support network that works in dual partnership with our families and both communities.

Children are at the heart of this outstanding school. During the academic year 2011/2012 Ofsted reported a ‘rigorous focus on teaching and learning, pupils having very positive attitudes to learning and the Leaders are sharply focused’ at Fairfield Park; this is down to the happy and valued team striving for excellence every day. Our aim is for all of our children to be independent, enjoy learning and to attain well through our ‘Values’ ethos.

We encourage parents and our community to 'talk the language' of values and to promote these at home and in the wider community and clubs, so that we all play a part in helping children to 'live the values' and develop a community spirit. You will find more about values by clicking the Values Education tab.

At Fairfield Park, we are particularly keen on making learning ‘Wow’ through our exciting and active curriculum and our innovative ways to teach in and out of the classroom. As teaching staff we constantly train and refresh ourselves as we value the skills of lifelong learning. We want all of the children here to develop a love of learning, a thirst for knowledge and to be ambitious about their next steps; to have the confidence and skills to strive for success.

Our website provides important information about the school and we hope that it will give you a 'flavour' of what the school has to offer. No amount of browsing, however, can replace a visit to soak up the wonderful ‘high work ethic’ atmosphere in our school. If you are a prospective parent do contact us to make an appointment to see the school in action. If you cannot find the information you need on this site, please contact the school office. We will be pleased to hear from you
