Transition

As our Nursery is part of the whole school we are fortunate to ensure transition runs smoothly for when it is time to move on to Reception.  Staff are well known to the children and the children are used to their environments and setting of the whole school.  We understand that this is an important time for you and your child and aim to make it as effective and seamless as possible.  Information regarding transition is sent out via email to keep all informed of the process and transition events we hold.

In the summer Term children have a transition morning with their new teacher in their new classes. This is an opportunity to explore their new surroundings, meet staff and get ready for Reception. Also at this time we hold a parent’s transition evening where you get to meet the new class teacher and find out information all about Reception.
