Fairfield Manor Care Home

We are working in partnership with Fairfield Manor Care Home, formally Baycroft Care Home (until January 2024), and have done so since they opened their doors to their new premises on Fairfield Gardens in 2019.

 

FAIRFIELD MANOR CARE HOME & FAIRFIELD PARK LOWER SCHOOL 

 

 Our partnership is about creating a sense of community with our pupils and the hope of spreading intergenerational joy between residents and pupils.

 

 

 December 2023

In December 2023, some of our Year 3 and 4 children visited our local care home, Baycroft, to perform some of their songs from their recent Christmas performance.  They performed to a large audience of staff, residents and their families and put on a fantastic show, even responding to cries of “more, more, more!” with an extra performance of Feliz Navidad.  The children were then invited to join in an art and craft session with residents.  Our children found this experience enriching, children told us: “I’ve made some new friends; The residents were really nice and kind – I learnt their names; I’ve always wanted to see what’s in Baycroft and now I have!; Can I go again to see them all?”  To sum up the visit, one resident commented, “You’ve made my day!”  Happy Christmas to all our new Baycroft friends!

 

 

December 2022

In December 2022, the children enjoyed making Christmas cards that were delivered to Baycroft by Mrs Stone, sharing some Christmas sparkle with our community.

 

 

 

March 2020

 

At Easter, Baycroft Fairfield kindly donated a variety of sports equipment to our school.  We look forward to playing sports with it now we're back! 

                

      

The Easter cards and gifts collected by our staff were also delivered to the Baycroft residents and staff just before the Easter holidays and brought a lot of happiness and joy. 

We're delighted to be able to teach our children that small acts of kindness can make an impact on others.  Well done everyone!
